Now we’ve got Halloween out of the way we were looking forward to Swansea’s very own firework spectacular, which this year would have been using a barge offshore. But unfortunately the weather has decided otherwise and the event has had to be cancelled. Maybe a visit to Mumbles tonight for their laser display might be acceptable alternative. The free event, organised by Mumbles Community Council and Mumbles Pier, opens at 5.30pm ahead of a performance from Morriston Orpheus Choir at 6pm. The laser show will then begin at 6.30pm and there will be music, a fairground, and food stalls until 8.30pm. But if you are still going to have your own fireworks at home please spare a thought for your vulnerable friends, family and neighbours, and buy quieter ones. And be sure to provide a comfortable place indoors for all your pets. And finally, Deal of the Month … If you manage to get any good shots maybe have your own personalised keyfob made, just 75p each. You provide the shots and I’ll do the rest!
